Welcome

My name is Amanda Davis and I am a second-year undergraduate student. Through Marietta College, I am pursuing dual majors in International Business and Economics with a minor in Leadership Studies, while also completing Honors Curriculum. I plan to study abroad in the Spring of 2017, and then graduate in May of 2018.

I am seeking a summer internship, with potential for a career upon graduation, with global perspective in the business or economics realm. I am conversational in French, and am looking for a new language to tackle (either German or Japanese). My experience interning with start-up businesses as well as working as an administrative assistant has given me a competitive edge, contributing to my experience in developmental processes and market analysis, as well as an understanding of the logistics of working in a small business setting–I have hands-on and theoretical experience in business ventures. Now, I am ready for the opportunity to further develop my skills and share my experience from an analytic and consultancy perspective. Rigorous curriculum through courses taken in the liberal arts atmosphere of Marietta College have also prepared me for a future in economics and beyond.

Amidst my time as a student has also been my time as a servant to the community. Through the McDonough Leadership Program of Marietta College, I’ve developed my skills as a community leader through time with the O’Neill Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and an array of other organizations. The Leadership Program teaches scholars not only answers to lingering questions, but to question even those answers. I’ve risen in rank through this program and now look forward to hosting the EXCEL Leadership Workshop for all incoming scholars.

This ePortfolio is a consolidated collection of my experiences in- and outside of Marietta College. An elaboration of my college career may be viewed in my resume. Sample works of my time at Marietta College also give a more in-depth, personal look at my curricular efforts. Through involvement in numerous campus organizations and service in the community, I am comfortable reaching out of my comfort zone.
