Biometric technology for information security?

Basically, biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and analyzing biological data. In information technology, biometrics refers to technologies that measure and analyze human body characteristics, such as DNA, fingerprints, eye retinas and irises, voice patterns, facial patterns and hand measurements, for authentication purposes.I think the use of biometrics in the security world is smart, but dumb at the same time. It is very smart, because people can memorize your passwords and key codes not your face, eyes or your hair samples. It is also very dumb, because if the system is hacked or gets overridedĀ  you can easily lose basically everything. I feel like you should use both, it would be more safe in the long run.

B3: How has information technology impacted our everyday lives?

Science and technology are almost in every part in our life. There are cars, trains, planes everywhere, it is easy to travel from one country to another in a very short time. Also computers have a big role in our life especially internet which is used in business, education and also military purposes. We should begin looking at the positive impacts that this new technology has on our daily lives. Technology is evolving very quickly, and sometimes consumers have a hard time keeping up with the latest trends, but the impacts are made every day to help improve our lives. The modern world would not be modern at all without the understandings and technology enabled by science.

B-2 Should U.S. take military actions on Syria?

Well, I really don’t know why the U.S. is attacking Syria, but from what I see on the internet and TV. Obama is really committed to doing so, and everybody doesn’t want him to. I have actually been anti – government lately, because the government is full of lies. Going back to the Syria topic though, I think war is never necessary unless they attack us first. From what I researched we aren’t even in any type of business with them, such as trade and what not. So, what’s the point in attacking them? To make it seem like the U.S. is the “Big Boy” of the countries? Just my thoughts…

B1- First Impression on College Life

My first impression of Marietta College was “maaaaaaaaaaan, I am far away from home”. I loved my first weeks of school/class, the classes are not really hard they just make me work harder than I did in high school. That is expected though, because after all it is college. I have made a few new friends, mainly my football team and the Russell 4th Floor Team. The best floor in all of Marietta by the way. Out of all my freshman experiences, I must say going out to events with my freshman class are some of my favorites. I know there will be many more to come, as I finish out my year here :) .
