B7 – Your favorite e-commerce site!

My favorite e-Commerce site s Nike.com. I am very happy with their stock and selection and their customer service. I literally spent majority of my savings ordering shoes, socks, football necessities and other various clothing from their site.  Customer service was incredibly helpful in trying locate the products for me, and in a short time I was always satisfied. Overall, it was incredible easy, but ultimately, I am very grateful that they made such an effort to help me find the sometimes impossible to locate items that I was looking for, and to make sure I was actually able to order it.

B6 – Thoughts on “The Social Network”

My thoughts on the movie “The Social Network” are that he movie is very good for the “computer nerds” and geeks. It’s even great for regular person that knows nothing about the underlining of one of their favorite social networks to use. On a side note, I don’t really think that he stole from the two brothers in no way though, he simply made their idea 100x better than what they expected. The site they wanted to create would  have been plain and unintuitive. I really like how he used python  to make such an advanced networking system. It intrigues me, because I am currently in a computer programming class that uses python and I think it is the most boring thing ever. I would have never realized that an old version of python could have made something like Facebook. The movie made me want to be more knowledgeable on the subject, because maybe I could use some type computer program to create something that in the future I could possibly become rich and famous off of. The movie showed how anything could become something, just from a tiny/childish idea which evolved into something bigger and better. Now he is sitting on a million dollars.

B5 – What features should Apple introduce in iPhone 6?

To me, iPhone should just stop production all together. I feel as if it is just the same as the last, but if I had a say. I would like the screen to be way bigger like 5.5 inches or so, better battery life, no finger scanner, no scanner type anything, too many risks if it gets hacked again, there should be a face reader though like the android. iPhone should take notes from android as far as production and design goes. there really needs to be a revolutionary change in the iPhone strategy or it will eventually go down the drain phone-wise.

Biometric technology for information security?

Basically, biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and analyzing biological data. In information technology, biometrics refers to technologies that measure and analyze human body characteristics, such as DNA, fingerprints, eye retinas and irises, voice patterns, facial patterns and hand measurements, for authentication purposes.I think the use of biometrics in the security world is smart, but dumb at the same time. It is very smart, because people can memorize your passwords and key codes not your face, eyes or your hair samples. It is also very dumb, because if the system is hacked or gets overrided  you can easily lose basically everything. I feel like you should use both, it would be more safe in the long run.

B3: How has information technology impacted our everyday lives?

Science and technology are almost in every part in our life. There are cars, trains, planes everywhere, it is easy to travel from one country to another in a very short time. Also computers have a big role in our life especially internet which is used in business, education and also military purposes. We should begin looking at the positive impacts that this new technology has on our daily lives. Technology is evolving very quickly, and sometimes consumers have a hard time keeping up with the latest trends, but the impacts are made every day to help improve our lives. The modern world would not be modern at all without the understandings and technology enabled by science.

B-2 Should U.S. take military actions on Syria?

Well, I really don’t know why the U.S. is attacking Syria, but from what I see on the internet and TV. Obama is really committed to doing so, and everybody doesn’t want him to. I have actually been anti – government lately, because the government is full of lies. Going back to the Syria topic though, I think war is never necessary unless they attack us first. From what I researched we aren’t even in any type of business with them, such as trade and what not. So, what’s the point in attacking them? To make it seem like the U.S. is the “Big Boy” of the countries? Just my thoughts…

B1- First Impression on College Life

My first impression of Marietta College was “maaaaaaaaaaan, I am far away from home”. I loved my first weeks of school/class, the classes are not really hard they just make me work harder than I did in high school. That is expected though, because after all it is college. I have made a few new friends, mainly my football team and the Russell 4th Floor Team. The best floor in all of Marietta by the way. Out of all my freshman experiences, I must say going out to events with my freshman class are some of my favorites. I know there will be many more to come, as I finish out my year here :) .

B0- Summer Reading

Kelsey Timmerman’s “Where am I Wearing?”

This summer I was unaware about the summer reading, because I was going to attend a college in my home state of Texas I then decided to switch back to Marietta College late in the summer .. When I arrived on the campus all of my football teammates were stressing over it and I was all like whaaaaaaaaat ? After all of the confusion, I decided to attempt to do it. Big fail though, I didn’t have the most important part … The BOOK ! So, after trying to get the book for 2 days, I kind of/sort of/maybe quit on finding it ..
