meThanks for visiting my e-Portfolio! I am currently an Information Systems major at Marietta College, and I plan to graduate in May 2018. I am from Parkersburg, WV, however, I went to The Lawrenceville School, a boarding school in New Jersey, for high school. Our small class sizes and notable ‘Harkness tables’ fostered intelligent and creative discussion in literature and humanities. Being a part of these discussions was very enriching for me since I could see ideas from various angles. I think that hearing different viewpoints and arguments makes me think more critically, since I am now very conscious of the myriad of ways that events and ideas can be interpreted.

At Lawrenceville, I played tennis for three years on Junior Varsity, I was a copy editor for “L”, the school’s fashion magazine, and I was part of the yearbook team. These activities proved to me the value of a dynamic and hard-working community. I travelled to France with a group of students in my junior summer, and, though staying in a house with a French family who spoke little to no English was difficult and sometimes stressful, the experienced not only strengthened my French diction, but also provided me with deep cultural insight.

I look forward to finding a creative opportunity involving Information Systems that suits my interests in the arts as well as the sciences. This online portfolio is a brief.
