Biometric Technology just like every other piece of technology we have has changed and advanced for the most part over the years. A biometric finger scanner is great form of security because it’s about 1 out of 50,000 people that would have the same fingerprint as you. As compared to the four-digit pass-code where there is a 1 in 10,000 chance of someone getting your code right. However, like any other form of security nothing is completely secure there are always different ways to go around and avoid or fool the security. The German team that was able to hack the apple fingerprint scanner proved just that. In 2003 there was another team that was able to bypass a windows based fingerprint security scanner. Even though they proved the faults that are in the phone I do not think that an average person would be able to perform these tasks with simple home equipment and is not really a major concern.
